My name is Dorothea Brzeski. I am a music educator, music therapist, and alternative practitioner specializing in psychotherapy.
Coming from a background in music education, I completed training as a music therapist and passed the exam to become an alternative practitioner specializing in psychotherapy.
For many years, I have been running “Musik für die Seele” (Music for the Soul), a practice for music and psychotherapy in accordance with the German Alternative Practitioners Act.
After completing my training, in addition to my work at the practice, I spent several years providing music therapy at a workshop for people with disabilities.
I had the opportunity to conduct music therapy courses at various schools to support children who needed special assistance and support.
At the Social-Pediatric Center of the Aschaffenburg Children’s Hospital, I gained further music therapy experience working with children and adolescents with chronic, complex, or life-threatening illnesses and disabilities.
For many years, I have been giving lectures and seminars on music therapy topics—relevant from practice for practice—at various institutions.
At the Online School for Music Therapy & Tools, I offer various continuing education and professional development opportunities. Here, I share my experiences and provide many practical guidelines for those interested in the field, aspiring music therapists, and anyone who would like to integrate more music into their professional practice.
